I dropped at a tea shop "Pippi" when I was walking in an old town of Morioka. There, "Hina" doll sets were exhibited.

This is the newly opened museum of Korekawa Johmon site famous for the clay figure with praying style.

This clay figure in praying style was excavated at Korekawa Johmon site, where the museum was constructed recently.

Nejou castle in Hachinohe

This castle had been used by the lords of Nanbu clan who ruled a large area in northeast Japan from early 14th century to early 17th century.

The road around the Omoe peninsula ran almost within the mountains. Sometimes it approached the coast. This shrine stood at such coast, named Senkei.

A pair of Koma-inu is found in every Japanese shrine. They are protecting the shrine from evils.

Formerly, Odaka shrine was a castle of a feudal lord governing the southern area of Minami Sohma.

It is a majestic, beautiful tower. People are allowed to climb up it.

Few fisher's boat are seen in the boat. Fishers have lost their boats, and fishery has not been started again around this coast.

The middle school was destroyed severely by the Tsunami, but it is now under re-construction.

Old tomb stones gathered in a temple

Fallen old tomb stones were gathered in one place in a yard of a temple and worshipped together.

Clearance of former residence area

Rubbles of destroyed houses by the Tsunami have been cleared.

Holes on the cliff near the temple

There are many such holes in cliffs around this region. They might have been used as graves by ancient people.
